A little about me

Engineering
propulsion systems.

I'm Lelin, an aerospace engineer based in Nepal. My work spans rocket engines, electric propulsion and experimental research.

I studied aerospace engineering at IIT Madras. Since then, I've worked on propulsion design, simulation and testing, from hybrid rocket engines to ion thrusters for small satellites.

02Areas of focus

Propulsion & research.

A few areas where I spend my time, from the first model to the final test.

01

Rocket propulsion

Hybrid rocket engine design, simulation and testing at Mach24 Orbitals, including a 1 kN paraffin and gaseous oxygen engine.

Engine design   /   Test campaigns
02

Electric propulsion

Numerical modelling of an iodine-based gridded ion thruster, with a focus on propulsion for small satellites.

Ion thrusters   /   Numerical modelling
03

Experimental research

Microgravity experiments and soot characterisation at IIT Madras, through a master's research project in collaboration with ISRO.

Microgravity   /   Combustion

04GitHub projects

Tools I've built.

Two browser apps for learning and organising. Browse the code or open an app to try it.

01 / Listening practice

The Morse Room

Learn to recognise Morse code by ear, with guided lessons and custom listening practice. Adjust the speed, replay signals and keep track of your progress.

02 / Visual planning

Order in Chaos

A visual task board on an infinite canvas, with connected subtasks. Arrange your work, set deadlines and filter the board without losing its layout.
